May I know what requirements are for putting up a microbrewery in the country? I would like to start up as a small entrepreneur. Thank you for your help.

All you need is clearance from the relevant authorities, a business license and a work permit if you are not a resident. Have you put the Land, Labor, Capital aspects into question? It is not clear to me how you intend to get into business.

The term microbrewery originally originated from the United Kingdom. Abe and Jason, you seem to be two people with an interest with seeking to make a career in the industry.Have you taken time to study the Phillipine microbrewery industry? That is really important when you need to appraise the projects you want to initiate. Try online searches or talk to people on the ground. Good luck!

Indeed, there is a maximum amount of beer an industry can produce in order to fall under the category of a microbrewery. In most cases, it is not more than 15, 000 barrels per year. That tells you that you have to factor in how much you are able to produce plus how you intend to go about doing that. Depending on how you lay your 'bricks', your business is going to boom

Are there brewery equipment and ingredients supplier in the Philippines? Thanks.

If the Philippines manufactures beer or the same industry is booming, there would be many brewery equipment suppliers. To get all your questions answered, having a look at a website unique to the country should not be hard at all. If you are serious about getting into the same industry, nothing should be hard. They will normally have the FAQs and answers to these. The extent and nature of the microbrewery industry will tell a lot too

Clearance from the authorities would indeed be good, but the key is, coupled with this, having the right recipe as well. The beet industry has pretty stiff competition at the moment so I wouldn't really jump into such a competitive business, but that is just my opinion. Creating a business is always the best way to go, income wise, and it is also the most comfortable way to make money.

Ease of mind and being one's own boss are two of the main reasons for such reactions towards the situation.

I would surely be making my own business one day. I have not the slightest idea as to when this would be, but indeed, I will be doing it.

During this times of financial difficulties, we have to think of the ways that we can be able to make much more money to sustain our needs. In Philippines where there is a hard competition in acquiring a job, people should think of ways to make some money by engaging in businesses. I wonder how is the microbrewery business is in the Philippines. Hope that you guys could post here some important details.

"it's me again..."
I'm really interested in putting up my own microbrewery in the Philippines. My time horizon is about 5-years from now in the earliest so I have plenty of time to learn and study it but if there's somebody who can help me get started sooner, that will be sweet. I'm currently still out of the country so I am not in a great hurry but I want to learn as much as I can now so that I shall be more prepared when I actually start it. I have searched the net about suppliers but so far my search has been unproductive.

In the Philippines, some of the microbrewery owners imports their raw materials on several countries abroad. You might want to consider this, but well I think it is much better if you go for the local raw materials in the Philippines. And I have to say that they have great products in the Philippines. But choosing the Philippines to start up a business is great. Good luck on your microbrewery business. • Page 1 (Original Post) •
